| Advanced Studio/Portfolio Presentation | This course concentrates on refining drawing, painting, and graphic skills by implementing all knowledge gained from previous art classes. Students critically evaluate their own work through classroom critiques and prepare individual portfolios for presentation at the conclusion of the school year. (more details) |
Fashion Design/Illustration | This course explores figure drawing and fiber experiences as it relates to fashion and illustration. A variety of medias from colored pencil, inks, silk painting and tye dye will be explored. |
| Introduction To Ceramics | Introduction to Ceramics is an elective art course designed for students who are interested in learning about the three-dimensional utilitarian and expressive objects of art created with clay. |
| Introduction to Sculpture | Students will develop an understanding of sculptural processes as well as their cultural origins. They will build armatures, develop surface treatment, and gain experience in such sculptural methods as additive, subtractive and casting. |
| Media Arts | Students will develop their media literacy skills as well as technical skills in various digital media for a variety of applications. Media includes Adobe’s Creative Suite: Photoshop CS4, Illustrator CS4, Dreamweaver CS4, and Adobe Flash CS4. |
| Digital Animation | Students will develop their media literacy skills as well as technical skills in various digital media for animation applications. |
| Advanced Placement Studio In Art | AP Studio in Art is a challenging and rigorous course designed for the serious art student and is the equivalent to a one-semester college course in art. AP Studio emphasis may be on Drawing or 2-D Design depending on an individual student’s strengths. |
