Children Museum  At Children's Museum you can touch, experiment, discover, play, and learn.  It is located in East Aurora, Erie County. Telephone number - 716-655-5131. And while you're there, visit  Toy Town Museum. which houses Fisher-Price Toy Collection from 1930-70 and ToyWorks, a kids' interactive learning center.  Telephone number - 716-687-5151.
 
Corning Museum of Glass  is the home to the world's most celebrated collection of glass.  It presents live glassblowing demonstrations all day, everyday. The Museum features stunning new galleries, interactive exhibits and much, much more.  Their telephone number is toll free -1- 800-732-6845.
 
Erie Canal Museum, Lockport Locks, Cave and Underground Boat Ride, Lockport, NY - features boat cruises on the canal, tour to the underground cave, visits to the museum and Historic Lockport Towpath Trolley and many other attractions.
 
Glenn Curtiss Museum. You'll find aircraft and engines at the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, Steuben County. Curtiss, pioneer aviator and inventor of the small engine, loved motorcycles. The telephone number is 607-569-2160.
 
Letchworth State Park and a museum is a wonderful place to spend a warm spring or autumn day.  The  telephone number is 585-493-2760.
 
Old Fort Niagara, Youngstown, Niagara County. This 18th century military compound was occupied, in turn, by French, British and colonial troops. Some of the buildings date from 1726. The grounds are open daily, year-round.  However, during the summer months, Old Fort Niagara features cannon and musket firings, historical re-enactments of the battles, 18th century military living demonstrations and archeology programs.  Fun for kids of all ages.
 
Buffalo Botanical Gardens. Exotic plants of the tropics are enjoyed at the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens in any season. The gardens telephone number is 716-696-3555.  Check their website for the hours of operation.
 
Artpark - Artpark is summer theater at its finest, presenting musical productions and weekly concerts.  It is located in Lewiston, NY.  Telephone - 716- 754-4375
 
Buffalo Zoo.  A fantastic place to spend a day with children.  Delaware Park where the Zoo is located housing over 1,000 animals, including a rare white tiger. Telephone - 716-837-3900
